The 15  steps of: "Effective Management"

          1)   Follow a Self Help Checklist!
Accept personal accountability, set goals,..... know the difference between"Activity and Productivity"

      2)   Develop your staff beyond their capabilities!
Know your Staff, find their hot buttons, know what they're capable of, then ask for just a little more!

      3)   Influence Ideas and Creative Thinking!
Lead by Example, encourage them to think outside the box, be enthusiastic!

      4)   Never mix Business with Pleasure!
Don't allow yourself to cross the line and lose Respect from the rest of the Staff or other Colleagues at the work place.

      5)   Be attentive to Detail!
A detail oriented person will cross all the T's and dot all the I's, making
few mistakes, thus setting a Good Example for the Staff.

       6)   Don't worry too much about Profit and Loss!
Stay focused on the Bottom Line, teach your Staff that Everyone's contribution will impact the Bottom Line.

       7)   Stay focused on your Objectives!
Don't get side tracked dealing with current problems. A Good Manager will know the difference between Priority and Irrelevant.

       8)   Be a Manager and a Mentor....Not a Buddy or a Best Friend! Live Up to your Title as Manager!......Manage your Staff, Don't let your Staff Manage You!

       9)   Set up a "SOP" (standard operating procedure) Clearly Communicate Standards and Expectations for everyone, Including Yourself!

      10)   Train your Staff Properly!
Get the Cure before You get the Ailment!

       11)   Never Condone Incompetence!
Track  Individual Performance, watch quotas, Do the Obvious, Eliminate Deadwood!

       13)   Always display a Positive Mental Attitude!
A Good Manager should always be "Upbeat" and  full of
Energy. Ready to face the next challenge with Optimism.

       14)   Never Condemn, Criticize, Intimidate or Ridicule anyone in front of others! People are just like Mules, If you push them they'll get in a defensive mode and Do Nothing, becoming unproductive, and serve you no purpose. You can however, Lead People anywhere on the Planet "If" You teach with compassion and confidence. Give them positive reinforcement and acknowledge achievement.

       15)   Never, Ever think for a Minute that You are the Smartest Person in the room just because You're the Highest Paid .....
Always keep an Open Mind to learn from your Staff, A different
perspective could shed new light on any idea. Sometimes a "fresh"perspective can lead to even "better" ideas.
